CRITERIA
- Must be enrolled as an undergraduate, degree-seeking student majoring in finance or accounting at the University of North Florida during the Spring 2016 semester.
- Applicants must be full-time students (enrolled for 12 credit hours) during the Spring 2016 semester.
- Must have completed at least 60 semester hours at the time of application.
- Must be a citizen of the United States or hold permanent residency status.
- Must have a minimum institutional UNF GPA of at least 2.75.
- The granting of scholarship(s) is at the sole discretion of the Northeast Florida Chapter of IIA, and shall be on a basis of educational achievement, financial need, and demonstrated professional, social, and charitable activities, and a short essay.
- Candidates are eligible for up to two (2) consecutive awards.
- Applicants should plan to attend an event on March 16 to receive the scholarship if selected.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must hand deliver the application package to the Department of Accounting and Finance (Coggin 3001) by 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 23, 2016.
Submit the original and 5 copies of the application package which includes the following documents:
Completed and signed application form
Short essay with a minimum 250 words up to one page in length that describes the applicant’s future career plans
Unofficial UNF transcripts from the myWings system, and unofficial transcripts from all other college or universities attended

The scholarship will be awarded at a chapter meeting during Spring of 2016. Applicants must plan to attend the meeting to receive the scholarship.

Each application package should consist of a stapled packet containing this word-processed application and (1) a short essay with a minimum 250 words up to one page in length that describes the applicant’s future career plans, (2) an unofficial copy of the applicant’s UNF transcripts, and (2) unofficial transcripts from all other colleges or Universities attended. Official transcripts are not required. Submit the application packet (original application form and transcripts along with three additional copies of the application packet) to the Department of Accounting and Finance (Coggin 3001) by 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 23, 2016.
