Accommodation on Campus

Accommodation on campus is guaranteedto students who receive an unconditional offer and apply before the deadline. Most of this year’s MSc students are living on campus and the accommodation is within easy reach of all teaching, catering and social facilities. There are catered or self-catered residences available and rooms are approximately 11 square metres in size and well furnished with bed linen provided and telephone, University network and broadband internet connections. Each hall has its own warden, who is a current Heriot-Watt student, who will help you settle in and sort out any problems. Your warden will arrange a meeting within the first week of your arrival to go over the residence rules and answer any questions you might have. If you don’t want to live on campus then we also operate a leased flat scheme which can give you access to flats in the private rented sector and we can also give you advice about how to access lodgings with families or private accommodation. Self Catered Residences: Leonard Horner Hall consists of 3 halls providing in total 161 single study bedrooms. The study bedrooms are grouped around kitchens for the use of 4, 5 or 6 students. The kitchen/dining areas are furnished but no cooking utensils, crockery or cutlery is provided. Self Catering En-Suite: Robert Bryson Hall consists of 195 single study bedrooms. The accommodation is like that in Leonard Horner Hall except that each room has its own en-suite shower and toilet facilities.
