Using LCPL Databases
Databases contain more reliable information than the Internet, so use them whenever you can!
AccessingLake County Public Library databases
- Go to Edison Library website
- Click purple “LCPL Access Digital Resources” link
- Click blue “Learn Stuff” link
- Click “See All Databases” link (on left in orange area)
- Click on a database link and log in using LCPL Digital Access Card–
use BARCODE as “Library Card Number” and DEFAULT PIN as “Personal Identification Number”
Using Artemis Literary Sources database
- Enter search terms in “Discover New Ideas” field and click “Search” - Consider using Advanced Search (full text?)
- Limit to “Literature Criticism” articles
- Read abstract under each article link to determine if article might be valuable to your research
- Click on a link to view article –
- view a different page using
- change font size using
- View citation using
- As always, write using your own words
