Accessing “Follett Shelf” eBooks in Destiny
How does a student access the Follett Shelf eBooks from school?
1. Start/All Programs/Destiny/Eustis Middle School/
2. Students will now be in the Destiny catalog. Click on the catalog tab. On the left hand side of the screen you will click on the Follett Shelf button.
3. Student login information: username and password will be their student ID#.
4. Teachers will have the option of previewing or checking out the eBook.
How does a teacher access the Follett Shelf eBooks from school?
1. From the LCSB Intranet home page click on Destiny/Eustis Middle School/Catalog Tab/Follett Shelf Button. Once you click on a book you will be prompted to put in your username and password.
2. Username will be standard network user name, and the password will be your EIN#
3. Teachers will have the option of previewing or checking out the eBook.
How does a teacher/student access the Follett Shelf eBooks from home?
1. Go to www.lake.k12.fl.us
2. Select Destiny
3. Select Eustis Middle School
4. The Destiny catalog page will open
5. Click on the catalog tab, and then click on the Follett Shelf button. Select a book. Students will use their student ID for both username and password, while teachers will use their network logon for their username, and their EIN# as their password.
6. Begin reading within your web browser.
Other options for eBook access:
Offline Reader (optional) – Off Campus Use
1. There is an offline reader within the Follett Shelf that can be downloaded to your desktop computers, which makes it quicker to log in to the eBooks.
Username: Student ID number, or teacher network login name
Password: Student ID number, or teacher EIN#
Installation will require a web address field associated with EMS, which is: webb13899.follettshelf.com
Some tools may not be available in offline reader as opposed to using a web browser.
App available for Smart Phones and tablets
The app to download is called BrightWave K-12. Android users can download the app off of Google Play, while Apple users can download the app off of iTunes.
