Introduction

Abstracts will be in the Book of Abstracts and should be prepared using this template. These are expanded abstracts which should outline the aim, scope and main conclusions of the presented work. The abstract should be saved as an Adobe PDF files – this is the format that will be used when you upload your abstract to the conference web site.

Guidelines

All abstracts must be written in English using 12 point Times New Roman font, line spacing of 1.5 lines with, for US and Canadian “letter” sized paper (page size 8-1/2 x 11), 1” margins all around. For A4 paper, use a text area of 16.5 x 23 cm with margins of 2.5 cm from top and left edge. Headings should be presented as shown in this template. The text alignment should be justified and may include figures, tables, equations and references. The total length of the abstract should be close to but not exceed two pages, including figures, equations, tables, and references. Figures, equations and tables should be included in the text and numbered sequentially. For example:

Figure 1. Figures should be centered and followed by a numbered caption.

Equations should be centered and numbered.

Conclusions

The abstracts will not be produced in color, so please do not include any color figures, text, lines, etc., which may be lost during reproduction. Figures should be black and white and high contrast. References should be written using single-spaced 12 point Times New Roman font (one line after text body). References should include the following: names of all contributing authors (last names first); year of publication in parenthesis; title of article in quotation marks; title of journal or book in italic; publisher, city, state, and country of publication if applicable, volume number; inclusive pages.
