The National Institute of Accountants (NIA) is a professional organisation for accountants recognised for their practical, hands-on skills and a broad understanding of the total business environment.

Recoqnition

The National Institute of Accountants (NIA) believes an effective and consistent corporate identity is essential and a strong recognisable logo will help communicate credibility and generate greater awareness.
The corporate identity connects NIA members and creates a unified, coordinated means of communicating with government, business, and the public.
As such the NIA encourages members to promote their affiliation with the NIA through the use of NIA's corporate symbols.
The Style Guide provides guidelines for the use of NIA's coporate symbols. Members may access logo files from the Member Only downloads area.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership of the NIA Student Register is open to any student enrolled in Accounting from Secondary School through to the completion of an Undergraduate Degree or TAFE qualification. (Please note: the Student Register is not available to individuals studying a post graduate (or higher) award.)
As a student member you receive the support of a professional national accounting body and a range of benefits and opportunities.
There are two levels of membership available through the NIA Student Register, for a nominal fee you can become a Full Student Member and receive all the benefits that the Student Register has to offer or you can join as a free Online Student Member.

Graduate Associate Fee
As a full member* of the student register you are entitled to the NIA Graduate Associate Fee on graduation from your studies. The Graduate Associate Fee is a reduced fee offered to eligible# applicants for the first five years of membership. In the 2003-2004 year the graduate fee is $280 (GST inclusive). This is a saving of $127 off normal Associate Membership. In addition, if you upgrade to Associate within six months of graduation you will also have the once off nomination fee of $140 waived.
The Graduate Associate Fee rewards students who have shown a commitment to the NIA during their studies. It pays to be a full member of the Student Register!
