The Lucy Faithfull Foundation is a pioneering child protection charity whose vision is to create a world in which children’s rights to live free from abuse and exploitation become a reality.

Our mission is to prevent sexual abuse from happening by working with those perpetrating it, those affected by it and with protective adults who can keep children safe. Over the years we have developed the knowledge, skills and expertise to take on this challenge.

We are the only UK wide organisation dedicated entirely to preventing child sexual abuse and have been doing so since 1992.

We do this by working in partnership with government, charitable trusts, voluntary and statutory agencies,the private sector and the public.

We also contribute to the evidence base and knowledge of sexual abuse and use this to influence public policy.

About the role:

This is a new role that has arisen due to the demonstrated success of a major communications campaign undertaken by the Foundation.

The Digital Officer will work alongside the Media and Communications Manager to:

·  deliver the digital component of a major communications project (involving external stakeholders) to effect positive behavioural change amongst people viewing sexual images of children.

·  Develop a comprehensive digital communications and marketing strategy that will underpin the organisation’s media and communications strategy.

The Digital Officer will also:

·  Implement insight from recent research to create more effective social media content and strategies

·  Develop and enhance the website.

·  Analyse and review SEO and Google Adword accounts to support the broader work of LFF

·  Build in activity to support the Foundation in the future – such as the setting up of digital reporting.

Person Specification:

·  Educated to degree level or professional equivalent

·  Permanent right to live and work in the UK

Essential skills and experience:

Degree level education, or equivalent level of work experience.

Demonstrable experience in social media and digital marketing, preferably within the charity/ NGO sector.

A demonstrable track-record in developing and implementing digital strategies that underpin broader communications strategies.

A strongly data-driven approach to digital marketing activity.

Proven experience in Search Engine Optimisation.

Proven experience in the creation of engaging audio-visual content for digital distribution, including via social media.

Proficient in use of Google Adwords and Google Analytics, analysing large amounts of data and making decisions which bring about positive change.

Experience in content planning, creation and use of various content management systems (CMS.

Basic skills in image and video-editing using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premier..

Proven experience of marketing publications and training services to key stakeholders using digital media.

Excellent team-working skills, diplomacy, written and verbal communication skills.

Experience of managing a variety of competing projects, priorities and deadlines.

Experience of bought media / promoted social media posts.

Commitment to sharing of digital skills across the organisation.

Ability to work well under pressure to targets and deadlines
