Dam Bureau – Engineers List

Please note:
This alphabetic list should not be considered a listing of all qualified engineers with experience in dam related
work, rather it is a partial listing of individuals and firms that have requested to be included as a potential
resource for dam owners and represent that they have the requisite experience.
The DES does not intend to imply a certification of those on this list, nor on the work they perform.
All dam construction/reconstruction applications are reviewed to confirm that the engineer of record for the design/plans has the required experience for the type of dam design being proposed per Env-Wr 403.03(a)(1).
Also the construction engineer (on site) must meet Env-Wr 405.03(b).
Env-Wr 403.03 Additional Requirements Based On Hazard Classification.
(a)For the construction or reconstruction of a Low, Significant, or High dam:
(1)All final plans and design documents shall be stamped by a professional engineer, licensed in the
State of New Hampshire, with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience related to the design
and construction of similar dam projects, as determined by the department after a review of the
engineer’s resume;
Env-Wr 405.03 Construction Engineer.
(a)Prior to any work on the dam starting, the owner shall engage a construction engineer to ensure compliance
with approved plans and specifications.
(b)The construction engineer shall have a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience related to construction inspection or design of similar dam construction projects.
