1.2.1General remarks

The guidance shows the preparation of the paper for the proceedings of the 15th International Probabilistic Workshop in Dresden 2017 using the program WORD. The included style sheets can be applied using the toolbar style sheet or the Format command. Additionally the format commands are given in bracket such as {IPW Standard: 1.1 line spacing, Distance before and after 6pt}.

The standard font Times New Roman with a font size of 12pt is used and is also recommended to be used in diagrams as well as figures. Under no circumstances the font should be chosen smaller than 9.5pt.

The captions are limited to three levels.

2Special Style Sheets

2.1Figures

Figures can be included as grey scale figures as well as line drawings. Please consider that colour figures might be included, but will not be printed in colour.

In addition using pixel figures, the resolution should be considered: The figures should not have less than 300 dpi. The papers will be written in DIN A 4 and will be printed in A 5. We recommended JPEG files for the inclusion of figures. If you include figures from other program, please make sure that the figures will be printed according properly (for example include figures as metafile).

If you use vector-drawings, for example CorelDraw, please use a minimum thickness of 0.5 pt. Thinner lines might not be printed properly. Especially take care with the hairline in CorelDraw.

Figures should be in general labelled under the figure. Please use the appropriated style sheet {IPW Figure: centred, Distance before and after 6pt}. For sublabeling use a further style sheet.

(a) {IPW Figure Sublabeling)} / (b) {IPW Figure Sublabeling): 11pt, Indention hanging 0,65cm, Distance before 6pt}

Figure2: {4IPS Figure: 11pt, Indention hanging 1.5cm, Distance before 6pt}

For the numbering of the figures as well as the tables the automatic word procedure should be used. Please if Fig. and Tab. do not yet exist, include them.
