THE APPOINTMENT OF A CONTRACTOR FOR CONSTRUCTION OF LIVESTOCK INFRASTRUCTURE: FOUR (4) BOREHOLES IN VARIOUS LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES WITHIN ZULULAND DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, KWAZULU-NATAL PROVINCE.

invitation and scope of work:

Tenders are hereby invited for the construction of four (4) boreholes in various local municipalities within Zululand district municipality, KwaZulu-Natal province.

CONDITIONS:

Bidders shall be registered with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and should have a minimum CIDB Contractor grading of 4CEor higher.

The Supply Chain Management Policy will apply and bids will be evaluated in terms of the 90/10 points system as set out in the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (Act 5 of 2000) read with PPPF Regulation 2011.

Bids are to be completed in accordance with the conditions attached to the documents and must be sealed and endorsed with the relevant contract number and must be personally deposited in the official bid box in the foyer of:

Telegraphic, telefaxed or faxed bids will not be considered and late bids will not be accepted.

The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any bid.

A Compulsory Tender Briefing/ Site Inspection meeting will be conducted at 10h00 on Wednesday 26October 2016. Prospective tenderers shall meet on site at Department of Agriculture and Rural Development office, Lot 96 Main Street, Nongoma.

THE LOWEST OR ANYTENDER WILL NOT NECESSARILY BE ACCEPTED, AND THE DEPARTMENT RESERVED THE RIGHT TO ACCEPT A TENDER AS A WHOLE OR IN PART.

NB:

  • The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform reserves the right to cancel the contract, or not to make an appointment on this project.
  • In the event of a service provider being considered for appointment on more than one project, the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform reserves the right to evaluate the full risk profile which includes financial capacity/ capability, key personnel (human resources capacity), plant and equipment etc. If required, the key personnel/ project team may be requested to attend an interview session with the Department.
  • No pages may be removed or retyped from this bid, as this may lead to disqualification of your bid. Tampering with, dismantling of taking the document apart is strictly prohibited. All additional documentation must be stapled into the tender document or attached in a separate file.
