Interested parties are hereby invited to submit a bid for a tender within the Electrical Department at LesediLocalMunicipality for the supply and delivery of two (2) Aerial Platform/Cherry Picker Trucks for the Electrical Department and one (1) light truck for the Water Department.

Bid documents containing the specifications and details of the deliverables are available from Mr. Muzi Nkosi at the Service Delivery Department of Municipality, co HF Verwoerd St and Du Preez StHeidelberg, as from Friday 26 August 2011 at a non-refundable fee of R250-00 payable at the rates and taxes hall during office hours Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 15:00.

The bid must be sealed in an envelope marked:TENDER NO 16/2011: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF TWO (2) AERIAL PLATFORM/ CHERRY PICKER FOR THE ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT AND ONE (1) LIGHT TRUCK FOR THE WATER DEPARTMENT.

Bids must be placed in the Tender Box situated at the Development and Planning Department Municipal Building, c/o of Du Preez and H F Verwoerd Street, Heidelberg, on or before 12:00 14th September, 2011 and will be opened in public. Tender Box will be open during office hours Monday – Friday, 07:30 – 15:30.

No e-mailed or no faxed bids will be considered.

Bidder’s attention is specifically drawn to the provisions of the rules which are included in the bid documents. The Council reserves the right to accept any bid or part thereof and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any bid and not to consider any bid not suitably endorsed or comprehensively completed. Bids completed in pencil will be regarded as invalid bids.

All bids will be evaluated on a 90/10 principle for the above R500 00.00 and 80/20 principle for the below R500 000.00 based on compliance with all criteria as set out in the general conditions of contract, experience and according to the preferential point goals as indicated in the bid documents.

It is a condition of bid that the taxes of the successful bidder must be in order, or that satisfactory arrangements have been made with South African Revenue Service (SARS) to meet the bidder’s tax obligations. Bidders may be called by the municipality for a presentation. Additionally no contract shall be concluded with any bidder whose municipal rates and taxes and service charges are in arrears.
