Kirkhaven Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Annual Valentine’s Day Ball
Rochester, NY – On February 14, everything on the 4th floor of Kirkhaven will turn red for the Annual Valentine’s Day Ball! The staff and elders are already planning the invitations, the valentine-making, the heart-shaped cookie baking, the music, the hors d-oeuvres and wine…and the red carpet! Each year, residents, staff, family and friends begin the party with a “photo op”, strutting down a long red carpet to the hoots and hollers of their adoring audience.
Kirkhaven is a household model senior living community, and the 4th floor household is the official host of this annual event that the elders, staff and family from the other households eagerly anticipate.
“This is just one of the many activities our elders plan at their household meetings,” says staff member Robyn DiFranceso, “but it certainly is one of the most popular. It seems to be taking on a life of its own! This year, there’s a balloon archway planned and picture frames to create mementoes with each person’s photo.”
The festivities begin at 11 a.m.
