I would like to attend the Association for Vascular Access Annual Scientific Meeting being held September 15-18 (pre-meeting workshops on September 14th) in Columbus, OH. The Association for Vascular Access (AVA) is a multi-disciplinary organization composed of clinicians, educators and manufacturers focusing onpatient outcome, performance improvement and application of evidence-based practice to support vascular access specialists and patients. This scientific meeting provides an opportunity for individuals like myself to improve practice and patient outcomes by focusing on education, product awareness and hands on practice.

AVA 2018 will provide collaboration and key take-away tools that I can utilize to make {name of your organization} more effective in preventing complications associated with vascular access.Tools that I will receive if registered for the entire meeting include:a link containing the audio recordings to all main meeting sessionsand unlimited access to sessions handouts and posters, both of which can be shared with colleagues upon my return. In addition to these resources I would be happy to prepare a short presentation of resources and knowledge gained from AVA 2018to promote the most current evidence based practices.

When looking at the total cost for me to attend, and divide it by the number of people in our department managing vascular access issues; the per person cost is minimal when compared to the cost of one avoidable complication.
