God’s people will examine their own lives and change according to the Word.

2.introduction

When we are a new employee of a company, we need to learn and understand the rules and regulations of the company so that we can function properly and will not make a mistake. As a result, our boss will be pleased with our work. The devil’s victory is dependent on our ignorance. We will succeed when we know God’s truth which will bring peace and joy to our lives.

We become righteous through faith in Jesus and by His grace. We are not counted righteous by having good deeds or by observing the law. We should know Biblical roles of the righteous so that we will succeed and be blessed by the Lord.

4.CONTENT

The Bible tells us characteristics of the righteous.

Colossians 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

We should seek those things which are above, not the things of the world. We should seek God’s presence, His rewards, and His character.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.

We allow God to change our thoughts or our hearts. We think positively and creatively. Paul encourages us to think whatever things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report and praiseworthy.

Colossians 3:10-12 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. 12Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;

We make a choice to put on the nature of Christ: tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, and longsuffering. The Holy Spirit will help us when we make a decision to put on the new man.

Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Romans 14:19Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

We make a decision to pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which we may edify one another.
