A RESOLUTION confirming the reappointment of William E. Summers, V to the Kentucky Housing Corporation Board of Directors.

WHEREAS, KRS 198A.030 requires that the Kentucky Housing Corporation Board of Directors consist of 15 members, ten of whom shall be private directors appointed by the Governor, and one of whom shall have professional experience in auditing, financial accounting, municipal bond financing, or investment banking, subject to confirmation by the Senate as provided by KRS 11.160; and

WHEREAS, by Executive Order 2012-1028, dated December 14, 2012, the Governor reappointed William E. Summers, V of Louisville, Kentucky, to the Kentucky Housing Corporation Board of Directors to serve for a term expiring October 30, 2016; and

WHEREAS, the Senate finds that William E. Summers, V has met the requirements for membership on the Kentucky Housing Corporation Board of Directors; and

WHEREAS, the Senate finds that William E. Summers, V will be an asset to the Kentucky Housing Corporation Board of Directors based on his loan management experience as Vice President of several Kentucky banks, his membership on the Board of the Louisville Arena Authority, and his service on a variety of other governmental, educational, philanthropic, and community boards;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

âSection 1. The Senate confirms the reappointment William E. Summers, V of Louisville, Kentucky, to the Kentucky Housing Corporation Board of Directors, as the representative with professional experience in auditing, financial accounting, municipal bond financing, or investment banking, to serve for a term expiring October 30, 2016.

âSection 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and notification of its adoption to William E. Summers, V 2706 Lakeside Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40205; and to Governor Steven L. Beshear, Room 100, State Capitol, Louisville, Kentucky 40601.
