A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of Harry D. Richey.
With deepest respect and admiration, we pay tribute to Harry D. Richey, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.
WHEREAS, Harry D. Richey was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 14, 1927, and he traversed these earthly bounds on May, 26, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Harry D. Richey served his country during World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War; and
WHEREAS, Harry D. Richey retired from the United States Army in 1968, and was a member of the VFW Post #1170 in Middletown, the American Legion Post #39, and the Moose Lodge; and
WHEREAS, Harry D. Richey leaves behind his wife of forty-two years, Eleanor Richey; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Marsha Scott; three grandchildren, Michelle, Sherri, and Gregory Scott; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Alison Minnich; and
WHEREAS, the passing of Harry D. Richey has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Harry D. Richey and extends to his family and many friends its most heartfelt sympathy.
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Harry D. Richey.
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit ten copies of this Resolution to Mrs. Eleanor Richey, 1814 Circle View Drive, La Grange, Kentucky, 40031.
