A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of Harry Alan Ranier.
With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Harry Alan Ranier, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.
WHEREAS, Harry Alan Ranier was born on April 24, 1958, a native of Floyd County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on March 21, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Harry Alan Ranier was the loving son of Peggy Ann Spradlin Ranier and the late Harry Hale Ranier; he was the loving brother of two sisters, Toni Kay Edwards of Rockfield and Lea Ranier Warner of Lexington, and two brothers, Lorin D. Ranier of Davidson, North Carolina and Rick Morgan of Charleston, West Virginia; he was the loving grandson of Phyllis H. Ranier of Prestonsburg; and he also leaves behind 10 loving nieces and nephews, Joshua Alan Colmenares, Alexander Ranier Colmenares, Victoria Colmenares, Daniel Lee McDonald, Chelsea Ranier McDonald, Gregory Cole McDonald, Stefan Glen Morgan, Eric Lyn Morgan, Harrison Bryce Ranier, and Angelina Maria Colmenares; and
WHEREAS, Harry Alan Ranier was an esteemed member of the Floyd County community, where he was a member of the First United Methodist Church; he was an automobile dealer by profession, and the owner of Competitive Classics; and he was a member of Zebulon Masonic Lodge No. 273 in Prestonsburg; and
WHEREAS, the passing of Harry Alan Ranier has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Harry Alan Ranier, and extends to his family and friends its most heartfelt sympathy.
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Harry Alan Ranier.
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Mrs. Phyllis Ranier, 429 North Arnold Avenue, Prestonsburg, Kentucky 40153.
