A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of Glenna Mae Stumbo.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Glenna Mae Stumbo, and we pause in silent reverence for her soul.

WHEREAS, Glenna Mae Stumbo was born on November 3, 1933, a native of Floyd County, Kentucky, and she traversed these earthly bounds on February 17, 2003; and

WHEREAS, Glenna Mae Stumbo was the loving daughter of the late Joe and Ida Gibson Stumbo, and she was also preceded in death by three loving brothers, Curtis Stumbo, Hershel Stumbo, and Jay Lovel Stumbo, and two loving sisters, Marie Gibas and Esther Salisbury; she was the loving mother of a daughter, Lana Stumbo Smith of McDowell, and two loving sisters, Roberta Lewis of McDowell and Anna Sue Warrix of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and she was the proud grandmother of two grandchildren, Rachelle Nichole Howell and Brandon Howell; and

WHEREAS, Glenna Mae Stumbo was an esteemed member of the Floyd County community where she was a member of the First Baptist Church in McDowell, and she was a retired nurse and formerly employed by the McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital; and

WHEREAS, the passing of Glenna Mae Stumbo has left a void that cannot be filled, and she is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow at the passing of Glenna Mae Stumbo, and extends to her family and friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Glenna Mae Stumbo.

Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Ms. Lana Smith, 427 Johnson Road, McDowell, Kentucky 41647.
