A RESOLUTION adjourning the House in loving memory and honor of Tamara Swartz Butler.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Tamara Swartz Butler.

WHEREAS, Tamara Swartz Butler was born on December 31, 1960, a native of New Albany, Indiana, and she traversed these earthly bounds on September 12, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Tamara Swartz Butler was the loving daughter of Jean Swartz; she was the devoted wife of 21 years to Mike Butler; she was the loving mother of daughters, Rachel Butler and Melissa Butler; she was the loving sister of Diane Hyle, Mary Ann Scott, Linda Simms, Bobbi Mayberry and Bryan Swartz; and she also leaves behind her father-in-law, State Representative Denver Butler, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, aunts, and uncles; and

WHEREAS, Tamara Swartz Butler, lovingly referred to by her husband as "Pretty Girl" and by her daughters as "Pretty Lady," reveled in the love of her family; and

WHEREAS, Tamara Swartz Butler, at the time of her death, was a registered nurse in the recovery room at Norton Suburban Hospital; she is remembered as a caring nurse who brought a sense of assurance and a well-tuned humor to her many patients; and

WHEREAS, Tamara Swartz Butler is remembered by her co-workers throughout her nursing career for her dynamic personality, her commitment to and love of her work, her fun-loving nature, her fondness for playing practical jokes, and as a teacher extraordinaire; and

WHEREAS. the passing of Tamara Swartz Butler has a left a void that cannot be filled, and she is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Tamara Swartz Butler and extends to her family and many friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Tamara Swartz Butler.

Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to send a copy of this Resolution to Mr. Mike Butler, 9013 Linn Station Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40222 and State Representative Denver Butler, 6712 Morocco Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40214.
