Item 4 –Eaton Commons Sidewalk Issue. Gary supplied photos of two sidewalks located in the Eaton Commons Subdivision which have buckled and created a hazard. One of the sidewalks buckled last year and the second thisspring and they are across the street from each other. The sidewalks were installed in 2000. Gary has talked to our town engineer, Mike Ketterling who said the reason the sidewalks buckled was because the expansion joints were not big enough. The home owner who lives at the location of the one that buckled last year contacted the Town asking us to repair it. According to Ordinance No. 407, it is the home owner’s responsibility to maintain and repair sidewalks adjacent to their property. Gary said this is the only area in the subdivision that has done this and because of the expansion joints not being big enough and the unusual situation it might be a good idea for the town to repair it. Gary estimated the cost might be $2,000 to $3,000 total. Concluding discussion Trustee Thomas moved approval for the town to do the repairs because of the expansion joint issue which could cause a safety issue for the residents, seconded by Trustee Moos. Roll call; Heaton-aye, Thomas-aye and Moos-aye. Motion carried 3 – 0.

Item 5 –Shelton Fund Request: Legacy Center. The Board received a written request from Karen Griffin, director of the Legacy Center for Shelton Fund money.
