A Missionary’s Message

Thank You: I am blessed to serve you and our churches as your Associational Missionary Minister. My heart’s desire is to support and serve the pastors and churches of our Baptist Association. I am honored to help fulfill the vision of our association with regards to both supporting and assisting in our Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19-20, and Revelation 14:6-7 mission and ministry focuses. Our Mission Statement, Mission Statement, and Motto are on the cover of this newsletter.

Connecting our web site and our new FACEBOOK Page: Our monthly Newsletter is already online on our web site. Our new FACEBOOK web page is now open. Pastors and leaders can become friends by going to FACEBOOK.com/theagustabaptistassociation. We are working to update our web site. Important information will then be available daily instead of only monthly. We will have pictures and real-time information about missions and ministry.

The Master’s Plan Team: We have a long-range planning team working for our Augusta Mission Center’s Board of Directors; this team will make a recommendation to the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors will make a formal recommendation to the Executive Committee. We are very excited about going forward with the “entire campus” being available for missions and ministry. Now that we have full access (fire code compliance report took a long time and writ of compliance) we can develop our plans to utilize all the buildings and grounds. Please pray for our team because these decisions will impact our Baptist Association, Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, and all the missions and ministry projects and training facilitated by the campus.

Storm Water Fee:We met with Commissioner Sammie Sias about our fee at The Augusta Mission Center. We pay a fee $153.60 per month for TAMC. He has suggested a plan to reduce our fee to $127.04 based on a recalibration and eventually to $57.17 per month. The first step is to plant a large water rain garden. This garden will include both drought-resistant and water-resistant plants. He is available to assist any church in Richmond County.

Pastor’s Roundtable: We will meet on October 17, 10:00 a.m. at The Baptist Center, 1120 Marks Church Road. Our plans are to revisit, “dealing with disruptive people and situations.” We will have a Dutch Treat lunch afterwards.

In His Secure Grip,

Dr. “B”
