A meeting of Hazel Dell Little League was held at HB Fuller Club House on 11/19/2017.

By Laws Updates & Changes
A sub-committee will meet to discuss the following updates:
- AL Pitch Counts for at least the first half of the season (looking at 30/2 innings then 50/3 innings for 2nd half of the season)
- AL pitching/catching: considering rule no pitching & catching in same day for first 8 games
- No stealing home for intraleague games, or at least not for the first half of the season.
- PAC pitching: coach pitch first 6 games then player pitch
All Star Committee Update
Results of AL/NL All Star subcommittee meeting:
- AL First 5 players are picked by votes from all coaches and remaining selected by manager. Players will not be voting. Maximum two coaches per team.
- NL All coaches (up to 2 per team) and players vote for first 5 on the All Star Team.
- Coach selections and deadlines will be firm. Below is initial plan:
- Make known desire to coach early May
- Manager voted on within a few weeks- mid May
- Manager then picks coaches
Clinics
- Tom brought a potential new tool called Coach Deck. This was a deck of cards with practice plans/ideas on each card. A deck is $20 and a discount is available with purchase of 50+. Board voted to purchase 50 of these decks. During clinics these decks will be used a resource to give to coaches.
- Overview of desired items at clinics were: list of end of season goals, lesson plan example, 15-20 minute standard warm up to be used league-wide and deck of coach cards.
Sponsorship pricing
Prices were reviewed and set to:
- Team Sponsorship (block letter business name on back of shirt for PAC and Tball: $450
- Team Sponsorship w/ sign in outfield: $650
- League Sponsorship with outfield sign: $450
- Discussed option for -$100 if returning sponsor that has a sign already made
Merchandise Update
We will review jersey plans and any other updates at the next meeting.
Registration Fee Discussion
Prices were reviewed and set to:
- Tball: $90
- Ages 7-16: $130
- Juniors: $150
- Softball: $135
Family max charge$300. Prior years there was a sibling discount, but that has been removed for simplicity. Registration begins 12/1 and late fee will be imposed if registered after 1/31/18.

With board approval, Lisa took advantage of an outstanding apparel sale and bought 84 items at deep discounts. The
Other Items
Areas discussed that need additional focus:
- Coach Planning: discussed idea of contacting coaches from last year during this fall to line up for upcoming season. Desire to start clinics earlier and make clinics mandatory with a certificate obtain upon completion.
- Coach clinic subcommittee needed. Meet in the upcoming weeks to design a plan for recruiting coaches and planning clinics. Tom Peavey, Craig Kiggins and Commissioners to form this subcommittee
