A Guide to Sir Arthur C. Clarke on the
Internet
Version 1.2 October 2001
INTRODUCTION
I would like to express my gratitude to Richard for the astonishing job of research he has done, though I find it hard to believe that there really are 200,000 websites devoted to me! Because I spend 90% of my waking hours fighting email, I have hardly ever looked at any of them, but now that Richard has listed a few major ones, I may risk it.
Let me emphasize that I am not responsible personally for the contents of *any* sites, unless specifically stated. (Unfortunately, this disclaimer won't prevent unscrupulous persons posing as Clarke Clones.)
It is truly amazing how electronic communications have transformed the world in little more than a decade. (Of course the telegraph and telephone did a pretty good job, but that took more than a century!) I can see future historians wondering how the human race managed to occupy its time before the Internet was invented - during the long, empty ages when there was only Television....

A WORD FROM OUR SPONSOR
I was happy when Arthur asked me to be his Hon. Internet Policeman. I keep an eye on the ACC Internet content using a variety of proprietary and custom designed software tools to track sites, new content and copyright abuse. Initial searches have revealed over 200,000 web pages where Arthur is mentioned quoted or referred to – and more being added daily.
This file is an attempt to introduce a small sample of selected sites of Sir Arthur C. Clarke and the Internet. We shall be updating regularly as new material becomes available.
Should anyone wish to forward sites of interest for consideration in future editions then, please forward details or URL links to me at my email:
