Eachindividualproposalisevaluatedaccordingtothespecificcriterialistedbelow.Priortosubmittingyourproposalpleasebesurethefollowingpointshavebeencovered.

  • Learningobjectivesstatedclearlyasperformancesinterms ofwhatnewskillsortechniquestheparticipantshouldbeexpectedtoacquireby the end ofthe workshop.
  • Topicandcontentdirectly relevant,usefulandimportantforpsychological practice,teachingand/orresearchat aprofessional level.
  • Goodplanningandorganizationofactivitiestoachieve educational objectives.Appropriatehandoutmaterial describedinsufficientdetail.
  • Appropriate participatorylearningina workshopformat.
  • Targetpopulationdefinedandofappropriate level,backgroundandsize.
  • Adequacyofinstructorexperience andexpertise indicated.
  • Activitiesconductedinanethical manner.
  • PPArecognizesand supportsdiversity inits various formsthroughoutitsactivitiesandcontinuingeducationprograms. Whereverpossible proposalsshouldnote therelevance ofdiversityconsiderationsinrelationtoworkshoptopics.
  • PPAencouragesall presenterstoactivelyinvolve participantsinthe presentationprocess.Programsare requiredtoinclude aplanforactive learning. Proposalswhichactivelyinvolve the audience willbegivenhighconsideration.
  • Proposals submittedbymembersofPPAwill begiven priority.
  • Relevantresearchrelatedtothe topicofthe presentationwill bereviewedwithinthe presentation.

B.HONORARIUM:

PPAagreestopayanhonorariumof $50perhourtothe presenter orgroupofpresenters forprogramsthree hours or more. Advanced:Toparticipate fully,those enrolledmustpossessasubstantial workingknowledge or skilllevel inyourspecificcontentarea. Generally,the knowledge orskill involvediscurrently usedbytheparticipantinhis/herjob.At thislevel,advancedtechniquesorknowledge wouldbe offeredtorefine andexpandcurrentexpertise.

9.AUDIO-VISUALREQUIREMENTS:

Presenterswill have achoiceofONEofthe following piecesof audio-visual equipmentatnocost:

 Screen/cart/cable/LCD Projector

All A-Vequipmentmust bereservedatleastthree weeks priortotheconference,andnoA-Vrequestsorchangescanbe honoredon site.Presentersare responsibleforthe cost of all audio-visualequipmentinadditiontothe one piece paidforby PPA. Therental fees for any additional audio-visualequipmentwill bedeductedfromyourhonorarium(if applicable);otherwiseyouwill receive aninvoicefromPPAafterthe convention. PPA is able to offer LCD projectors at no cost for this conference. Please mark whether you will need this option or not.
