Eachindividualproposalisevaluatedaccordingtothespecificcriterialistedbelow.Priortosubmittingyourproposalpleasebesurethefollowingpointshavebeencovered.
- Learningobjectivesstatedclearlyasperformancesinterms ofwhatnewskillsortechniquestheparticipantshouldbeexpectedtoacquireby the end ofthe workshop.
- Topicandcontentdirectly relevant,usefulandimportantforpsychological practice,teachingand/orresearchat aprofessional level.
- Goodplanningandorganizationofactivitiestoachieve educational objectives.Appropriatehandoutmaterial describedinsufficientdetail.
- Appropriate participatorylearningina workshopformat.
- Targetpopulationdefinedandofappropriate level,backgroundandsize.
- Adequacyofinstructorexperience andexpertise indicated.
- Activitiesconductedinanethical manner.
- PPArecognizesand supportsdiversity inits various formsthroughoutitsactivitiesandcontinuingeducationprograms. Whereverpossible proposalsshouldnote therelevance ofdiversityconsiderationsinrelationtoworkshoptopics.
- PPAencouragesall presenterstoactivelyinvolve participantsinthe presentationprocess.Programsare requiredtoinclude aplanforactive learning. Proposalswhichactivelyinvolve the audience willbegivenhighconsideration.
- Proposals submittedbymembersofPPAwill begiven priority.
- Relevantresearchrelatedtothe topicofthe presentationwill bereviewedwithinthe presentation.
B.HONORARIUM:
PPAagreestopayanhonorariumof $50perhourtothe presenter orgroupofpresenters forprogramsthree hours or more. 9.AUDIO-VISUALREQUIREMENTS:
Presenterswill have achoiceofONEofthe following piecesof audio-visual equipmentatnocost:

Screen/cart/cable/LCD Projector
All A-Vequipmentmust bereservedatleastthree weeks priortotheconference,andnoA-Vrequestsorchangescanbe honoredon site.Presentersare responsibleforthe cost of all audio-visualequipmentinadditiontothe one piece paidforby PPA. Therental fees for any additional audio-visualequipmentwill bedeductedfromyourhonorarium(if applicable);otherwiseyouwill receive aninvoicefromPPAafterthe convention. PPA is able to offer LCD projectors at no cost for this conference. Please mark whether you will need this option or not.
