Almighty and everlasting God, increase in us your gift of faith that, forsaking what lies behind and reaching out to that which is before, we may run the way of your commandments and win the crown of everlasting joy; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. MUSICAL EVENING – in ALL HALLOWS CHURCH – Saturday 21st November 2015 7.30pm

An evening of musical entertainment with the Mold Town Concert Band is being held in All Hallows' church.
There will be refreshments and a raffle. Tickets are now on sale, priced £8 (concession for under 16 £4), please contact Gill Chamberlain 722 8692 for tickets and further information. All proceeds to church funds.

MAURICE BARTLETT

It is with great sadness that we heard that Maurice Bartlett passed away peacefully on Sunday evening last. Maurice was Vicar here from 1966 to 1981 and was loved and respected by everyone Our thoughts and prayers are with Catherine, Edward and Peter at this time.

Their address is: Waverley House, Bowness-on-Solway Cumbria CA7 5AG.

CYNTHIA DOWDLE

Next Sunday evening, Cynthia will be the celebrant at Holy Communion at 6.30pm. We have been delighted and grateful that she has been with us the past few months. After the service we have the opportunity to wish her well in retirement with a cuppa and cake. Rachel Metcalf

PEARL OF AFRICA CHILDREN’S CHOIR UK TOUR

7pm onThursday 22nd October the children’s choir will be singing at St Anne’s, Aigburth. No ticket required – donations can be made at the event. Pearl of Africa Child Care is a UK based charity whose main activity is raising funds for the seven schools and homes run by the Molly and Paul Child Care Foundation - a Ugandan non-government organisation which provides education, food, shelter and healthcare to orphaned and destitute children in the Kampala and Masaka district.

ALL HALLOWS’ AUTUMN FAIR – Saturday 14th November 11am-3pm

Come and visit us at the All Hallows' Centre for some light refreshments,

a variety of stalls, tombola, books, bric- a-brack, crafts and many more.

HARVEST FLOWERS

On Fri 9th Oct we shall be decorating the church for our Harvest Festival. If you would like to make a donation to the flowers, the collection box is just outside the Children's Chapel. Helpers with the flower arranging would be most welcome.

SAMARITAN’S PURSE

Leaflets are available with information regarding the shoe boxes. Please continue to donate gifts, or fill your own boxes, the Shoe Box service will be on shoe boxes for sale at 50p. Pat, who covers the shoe boxes we fill with the gifts given throughout the year, would be grateful for more shoe boxes-please, please leave at the back of church.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Coffee morning and soup and dessert lunch at 32 Storrsdale Road, Thur. October 22nd 10am onwards.

HARVEST FESTIVAL

We will support our local food banks and the asylum link this year. Needed Pasta, Tin Fruit, Veg etc. They must be NOT be out of date. The work of the Mothers’ Union is involved in a large number of overseas projects there is also a general disaster and relief fund There will be a retiring collection after the harvest service for this work overseas
