A New Era

July 1, 2014

Greetings,

We have moved to New Hampshire where the state flower is the Lilac.

Our stock plants remain in West Newbury, MA.

The Syringa Plus Nursery specializes in growing “True to Name” Lilacs propagated from softwood cuttings. All of our Lilacs are grown on their own roots.

We start Spring shipping in March. Plants in 1 gallon and smaller containers can be shipped; larger plants can be picked up at the nursery. Our hours are by appointment or by chance.

We continue our work with Lynette Mascioli, Ken’s granddaughter to reproduce the Ken Berdeen Lilac collection in Kennebunk, Maine. If anyone has any Ken Berdeen introductions in their collection we would appreciate knowing about them. Cultivars we are especially interested in locating are ‘Berdeen’s Chocolate’, ‘Father Patrick McCabe’, ‘Gwen Marie’, ‘Joyce Burke’, Kathleen Cowan’, ‘Stephanie Rowe’, and ‘Walter’s Pink’. Any information such as photos, letters and stories related to Ken’s Lilac work would be great to add to our files.

Should you be looking for a particular Lilac please let us know. If we don’t have it perhaps we could locate it for you.

Please visit our web site at: www.SyringaPlus.com

We’re on Facebook! www.facebook.com/SyringaPlus to “like” us.

We’d love to show you our plants and talk Lilacs. Please call in advance of any visit, as we are not always at the nursery. Your visit is always welcome. For more information please call 978-352-3301. We hope to hear from you soon.

Save the date: October 4th & 5th, 2014, Concord, NH Area

“LET’S TALK LILACS” at The International Lilac Society New England Fall Festival

Sincerely,

Evie
