III. RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES

1.  / Internship Program / Spring 2015 / For the Spring of 2015 Promotions department hosted 5 interns in our Marketing Department from University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University. The interns assisted with the preparation of sales proposals for promotions, listener interaction and engagement via digital media as well as setup of station remotes and events.
2.  / Internship Program / Summer 2015 / Summer of 2015 Promotions department hosted 8 interns in the Marketing Department. Students were full-time college students receiving credits for their internship. The interns assisted with promotions and station events. They trained in production department as well.
3.  / Internship Program / Fall 2015 / In the Fall of 2015 our Promotions Department hosted 7 interns from Univ. of Ky. and Morehead State University. The interns assisted with sales proposals for various promotions, organization of community events and setup of station remotes.
4.  / Management level training regarding equal employment opportunity and preventing discrimination / 2/29/16 / On February 29, 2016 key members of our SEU’s management team met to review our FCC counsel’s comprehensive FCC EEO training presentation. We also reviewed our Master recruitment Source List to assess its productivity. Participants included our Market Manager, Program Directors, Marketing/Promotions Director, Sales Manager and Business Manager.
5.  / Participate in event/program sponsored by or on behalf of an educational institution relating to careers in broadcasting / 3/18/16 / Arlington Elementary School in Lexington, KY hosted a Career Day where Beth Brashears (Promotions Director) talked with 4th and 5th grade students about her educational and professional background and how it relates to her current position with Cumulus Lexington.
