UW-Superior Foundation Phone-A-Thon Caller Application

The Superior Fund Phone-A-Thon is a group of students who call not only to ask for alumni support but to personally thank alumni for past donations to the UW-Superior Foundation. Student callers telephone alumni who have donated in the past to ask for their continued support of UW-Superior with a donation.

Responsibilities:

This position offers a unique opportunity to build communication skills, network with alumni, and develop a solid resumé – all while being paid!

We will provide training and guidance to help equip you with the information and tools you need to confidently reach out to alumni and tap into their Yellowjacket pride.

The student caller

·  Is responsible for conducting fundraising calls with UW-Superior alumni to secure annual donations to support areas of need, including scholarships, academic programs, facility improvement and faculty development

·  Acts as an ambassador of UW-Superior and demonstrates courtesy, tact and professionalism

·  Is expected to work a minimum of two shifts each week

Job Profile:

·  Accepting applications year-round, primary hiring periods occur at the beginning of every academic semester (early September and January)

·  Shifts are Monday through Thursday, 5:30 – 8:30

·  Minimum hours – 6 per week, maximum hours – 12 per week

·  Starting wage $8.50

·  On-campus location, Old Main Room 237

Qualifications:

·  Must be current student registered for classes

·  Great telephone skills, good communication and listening skills

·  Sense of pride and affinity for supporting UW-Superior through fundraising

·  Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment

·  Naturally personable and positive
