8th Grade 8.2 Demonstrate how to influence and support others to make positive health choices. / ·  (Engage) Journal –Ask students to write a paragraph explaining how to eat a healthy meal plan for one day.
·  (Explain) Teacher will review the 6 essential nutrients; Carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water.
·  (Exploration) Students will vitamin list printout to research 3 vitamins each. They should list its food source and problems with deficiencies.
·  (Evaluation) Students will turn in results for grading.
·  (Extension) 2 High 5’s-Student must give 2 high fives to the teacher as they leave. One stating a fact from the lesson, one stating an opinion. / ·  Journals
