Athletics
*Extensive experience not required for coaching, apply today and we will work with you! Knowledge of sport applying for is preferred.

Referees
Interested in becoming a referee with the Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis? There is no experience necessary and all referees will be provided with training. After referee training, referees will be paid by the Boys & Girls Club per game depending on experience. For more information email the athletic director at .
Volleyball Coaches
Interested in sharing your passion for Volleyball? We are looking for coaches for our fall season for 4th-8th grade. Our 7th and 8th grade teams will play games on Mondays and Wednesdays and our 4th- 6th grade teams will play games on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Practices are scheduled by the coaches beginning after Labor Day.

Scorekeepers
Do you have experience with scorekeeping for basketball or volleyball? We are in need of volunteers with experience in scorekeeping for our various games and tournaments. If you would like to become a volunteer please fill out an application or email
Cheerleading Coaches
We have an exciting K-8th cheer program that offers a fun environment to teach age-appropriate cheer skills. Teams will cheer on and support athletic teams at sporting events (football in fall and basketball in the winter). Coaches with tumbling and cheer experience preferred as well as a desire to work with kindergarten children!

NFL Flag Football Coaches
This program is for boys & girls in 3rd-12th grade.The season runs from September to October for boys and girls in 3rd-12th grade. It is a five on five league which focuses on passing and is designed to help kids develop football related skills without blocking or contact. Teams play on a shorter field with a set of rules designed by the national football league and teams will be formed by grade divisions: 3/4th, 5/6th, 7/8th, and 9/12th. Practices will take place weekdays at Linus-Pauling middle school, Cheldelin middle school and at Williams’ field with the days and times set by our volunteer coaches. Basketball Coaches (Assistant and Head)
The Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis has one of the best basketball programs for boys and girls grades K-8th. Come and inspire young children to play as a team, be active and to have fun while participating in an exciting sport! Knowledge of basketball is necessary but previous coaching experience is not required. Come out and volunteer with a great program and contact Brian Mills at: if interested!

Club Plus Volunteer
Positively interact with K-1st grade youth by reading stories to individual or small groups, playing fun and interactive games, and assisting staff and children with various games and activities.

Tutor/ Learning Center Volunteer
Help elementary students feel academically successful by providing needed homework help and support for our academic enrichment programs! General weekly schedule includes: homework help from 3:00pm-4:00pm Monday-Thursday and an academic enrichment program from 4:30-5:30pm. Fridays are used as a planning or celebration day.

Games Room Volunteer
Positively interact with K-5th grade youth while playing various games, including pool, foosball, X-Box Kinect, and board games.

Positively interact with K-12th grade youth while doing various physical activities, including basketball, soccer, dodgeball, kickball and tag games.

High School Teen Center
Teen Center Volunteer
Positively interact with teenage youth in a variety of activities and projects. Help teenage youth with community service, career development, homework and more!

Tutor
Help middle school and/or high school students understand and complete homework in many subjects, including reading, writing, math and science. Ideal tutors will be willing to build rapport with teens in addition to providing academic support.
Current high school tutor requests: SAT/ACT, Math (Algebra 1-Calculus), Science (General, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental), Reading Comprehension, and Foreign Languages (Spanish, French, German)

Mentor – Boys 2 Men
Be a mentor to young men in our high school program that promotes and teaches responsibility. Participants learn through sports, structured activities, group discussions, and guest presentations.

Mentor – SMART Girls
Be a mentor to young women in our health, fitness, prevention education and self-esteem enhancement program for high school youth. Participants learn through group discussions, health & fitness activities, field trips, and guest presentations.

Extended Teen Nights (High School)
If you enjoy working with teens, then our High School Extended Ten Nights are the volunteer opportunity for you! Beginning on Friday evenings from 6:00-9:00pm our teen nights are opportunities for teens to hang out in a safe, inclusive, supervised atmosphere. Middle School Dances
Between 250 and 400 middle school youth attend each Club Night and volunteers are essential to providing a fun and safe event. Volunteers will rotate between helping chaperone the dance, supervising gym games, and hanging out in the games room. This is a dynamic volunteer opportunity for energetic groups and individuals.

Lincoln LIONS Club & Garfield GECKO Club (Lincoln & Garfield Elementary)
Tutor
Help elementary students feel academically successful by providing needed homework help and tutoring! Tutors will assist Kindergarten, 1st-2nd, or 3rd-5th graders with homework and will be paired up with students who are in need of extra support and help. Knowledge of Spanish preferred but not required.

General Volunteer K-5th
Not interested in being a tutor? Want to still hang out with elementary school kids? Become a general volunteer and you can pick what age group you would feel most comfortable working with. This is a great way to build strong peer relationships with elementary students and to have fun! Our LEC sites are bilingual schools but Spanish is not required!

STARS
STARS Volunteer
Become an important part of our after school program that blends physical activity, homework support, and creative enrichment activities for students in six of our Corvallis elementary schools (Adams, Hoover, Jefferson, Mt. View, and Wilson). STARS helps students (and their families) by providing an important after school program that offers a safe and engaging environment with staff who are adept at fostering both the program and meaningful connections with kids.
