Violet Town Digital Story

If you can make it, bake it or grow it, then you’ll find it at the Violet Town Market in the foothills of the picturesque Strathbogie Ranges.

The market started in 1978 with just a handful of stallholders selling their own products.

It has now grown to about 250 stalls through the hard work of a dedicated band of volunteers.

These days, up to 4,000 people come to the market each month.

The market supports people who grow or make what they sell.

It has the best products and hand-made goods from the region.

At the market there are also musicians to entertain you.

Or you can enjoy a horse and buggy ride.

If you love discovering something new, finding the freshest food, need a gift with character or just want to enjoy the atmosphere, then go along to the Violet Town Market on the second Saturday of every month between 9am to 1pm.

Perhaps we’ll see you there!
