Jubilee Series Interceptor

New military prototype designs built by the Corellian Engineering Corporation, the Jubilee series starfighters were primarily created as short-range interceptor craft.

The Jubilee comes equipped with COM and subspace transceiver communication systems as well as an advanced maneuvering system. It also carries eight fire-linked autoblasters, two fire-linked light ion cannons, and a small proton torpedo launcher capable of carrying up to four heavy proton torpedoes—a formidable array of weapons systems for a ship of its size. The Jubilee also boasts a powerful shield generator capable of withstanding even sustained barrages. Despite these improvements over traditional starfighter craft, in order to cut back on costs and to save space, the Jubilee was not built with a hyperdrive. It instead relies on much larger transport ships to get around the galaxy.

The designers of the Jubilee starfighters tried to get the most out of their ships by adjusting the ship’s inertial compensators for better combat maneuverability. Having done so, however, makes for a less than smooth ride for the Jubilee pilots.

The Silver, Gold, and Diamond Jubilee starfighter designs have progressively better (and more costly) ion engines and targeting systems than the standard Jubilee starfighter. Due to the higher price of these systems, most military starfighter wings will only allow their most skilled pilots to fly the more advanced designs. The bonuses for these enhanced systems are included in the below stat blocks.

Diamond Jubilee
Large Starfighter
Init +19; Senses Perception +12
Defenses Ref 18 (flat-footed 10), Fort 26; +1 armor
hp 120; SR 30; DR 5; Threshold 31
Speed fly 16 squares (max. velocity 1,300 km/h), fly 11 squares (starship scale)
Ranged autoblasters +14 (see below) or
Ranged light ion cannons +14 (see below) or
Ranged heavy proton torpedoes +14 (see below)
Fighting Space 2x2 or 1 square (starship scale); Cover total
Base Atk +10; Grp +31
Atk Options autofire (autoblasters, light ion cannons)
Abilities Str 42, Dex 26, Con –, Int 18
Skills Initiative +19, Mechanics +12, Perception +12, Pilot +19, Use Computer +12
Crew 1 (Ace); Passengers none
Cargo 25 kg; Consumables 1 day; Carried Craft none
Payload 4 heavy proton torpedoes
Hyperdrive none
Availability Military; Cost 250,000 new (generally not available for sale)*

* A brand new Jubilee starfighter does not come with proton torpedoes, thus the costs of the payload is not included in the ships’ listed prices above. The heavy proton torpedoes used by the Jubilee cost 2,000 credits each.

Autoblasters (pilot)
Atk +14 (+9 autofire), Dmg 6d10x2
Light ion cannons (pilot)
Atk +14 (+9 autofire), Dmg 4d10x2
Proton Torpedoes (pilot)
Atk +14, Dmg 10d10x2, 4-square splash

The stats above are for a Diamond Jubilee piloted by an Ace. Lesser Jubilee craft are generally piloted by increasingly inferior pilots and often have less coordinated computer systems as shown below. They also tend to not be as maneuverable, but the differences are minimal enough to not be reflected in game statistics.

Gold Jubilee: Expert crew quality. Int 16. Costs 197,500 Cr (generally not available for sale)
Silver Jubilee: Skilled crew quality. Int 14. Costs 162,000 Cr (generally not available for sale)
Basic Jubilee: Normal crew quality. Int 12. Costs 134,500 Cr

Due to the adjustments made to the Jubilee’s inertial compensators, a Jubilee starfighter pilot who fails a Pilot check to avoid a collision or increase the vehicle’s speed suffers from 1d4 points of bludgeoning damage for being roughly tossed around.
