5. The Departmental Scholarship Committee reserves the right to award a scholarship (if any) other than the one(s) for which you are applying, assuming you are eligible.
6. All applicants will be advised by e-mail of the Scholarship Committee’s decision in your regard.
7. All applications and additional paperwork must be submitted electronically to by February 1, 2018. Electronic Signature is acceptable. No hard copies will be accepted by the department.
8. Recipients MUST attend and be honored at the Department’s Recognition Ceremony on April 13, 2018.

EARLY CHILDHOOD ONLY SCHOLARSHIPS
Miriam Bland McMahan Early Childhood Education Scholarship: EC Major; 3.25 cumulative GPA and a 3.5 in Early Childhood coursework, Essay required – Why are you pursuing a career in early childhood education?; Hometown must be within 100-mile radius of Charleston, preference given to students who demonstrates the greatest potential for lifetime success as a 1st or 2nd grade teacher.
Mary K. Moore: EC Major; Outstanding personal character and academic achievement.
Kelley L. Neville Early Childhood Memorial Scholarship: EC Major; 2.5 GPA; Financial need is a Consideration.

Dr. John Roberts Scholarship in Middle School Education: MLE Major; Full-time Student; Sophomore, Junior or Senior Status; 3.00 GPA; Financial need is a Consideration; Must be a high school graduate of the following counties: Coles; Shelby; Moultrie; Cumberland; Clark; Edgar; or Douglas.

Sue (Archibald) & Randy Taylor Scholarship in Education: EC/ELE/MLE Major; Full-time Student; Graduate of Douglas, Coles or Clark county high schools, or Unity High in Tolono; Financial need is a consideration; Preference to a student involved in Agriculture or Farming activities in Douglas county; Must submit a letter stating career goals in education and past experiences with ag/farm activities.
