TWENTY-NINTH HOUSE DISTRICT

Twenty-ninth. All of the City of Winchester; part of Frederick County comprised of the Albin (202), Canterburg (503), Cedar Creek (104), Gainesborough (201), Gore (102), Kernstown (103), Newtown (502), Redland (203), Russells (101), Stephens City (501), and White Hall (303) Precincts and part of the Parkins Mill (403) Precinct; and part of Warren County comprised of the North River (301), Reliance (303), Riverton (302), and West Shenandoah (402) Precincts.

Precincts shall be interpreted to refer to those in existence on April 1, 2011, and as reported by the United States Bureau of the Census in the 2010 Census reports provided pursuant to United States Public Law 94-171, notwithstanding subsequent changes made by localities.

The following descriptions are provided for information purposes only pursuant to § 30-264 of the Code of Virginia. The provisions of § 24.2-304.03 of the Code of Virginia, including the statistical report referenced in and on file with the Clerk of the House of Delegates, shall be controlling in any legal determination of the district boundary.

A. Part of Frederick County west of a line described as follows;

  1. Beginning at the point where Interstate 81 intersects the Maryland-Virginia State line
  1. south on Interstate 81 to Martinsburg Pike (United States Highway 11)
  1. southwest on Martinsburg Pike to the northern corporate limits of the City of Winchester
  1. clockwise on said corporate limits to the point where Interstate 81 intersects the southeast corner of said corporate limits at Hoge Run
  1. southwest on Interstate 81 to the point it becomes part of the eastern corporate limits of the Town of Stephens City
  1. southwest on Interstate 81 and said corporate limits approximately 0.75 miles to a point where a northwest extension of Double Church Road (State Route 641) would intersect Interstate 81
  1. southeast on a line from said point approximately 325 feet to the intersection of Aylor Road (State Route 647) and Double Church Road
  1. northeast on Aylor Road to Tasker Road
  1. east on Tasker Road to White Oak Road (State Route 636)
  1. southwest on White Oak Road to Fairfax Pike (State Highway 277)
  1. east on Fairfax Pike to the Clarke County-Fredericksburg County boundary

B. Part of Warren County contained within a line described as follows:

  1. Beginning at the point where Strasburg Road (State Highway 55) intersects the Shenandoah County-Warren County boundary
  1. clockwise north and then east on the Warren County boundary to the Shenandoah River
  1. southwest on the Shenandoah River to the northern corporate limits of the Town of Front Royal
  1. east on said corporate limits to Happy Creek Road
  1. west on Happy Creek Road to Polk Avenue
  1. southeast on Polk Avenue to Braxton Road
  1. east on Braxton Road to Leach Street
  1. south on Leach Street to Horseshoe Drive
  1. clockwise on Horseshoe Drive to North Easterly Street
  1. south on North Easterly Street to East Stonewall Drive
  1. west on East Stonewall Drive to South Commerce Avenue (United States Highway 522)
  1. north on South Commerce Avenue and then North Commerce Avenue to East 6th Street
  1. west on East 6th Street and then West 6th Street to Kendrick Lane
  1. northwest on Kendrick Lane to its intersection with Adams Avenue
  1. northwest on an extension of Kendrick Lane approximately 1500 feet, said extension being the northeast boundary of census blocks 511870204003016 and 511870204003009, to the South Fork of Shenandoah River, being the western corporate limits of the Town of Front Royal
  1. clockwise northeast, then northwest, and then northeast on said corporate limits to Strasburg Road (State Highway 55)
  1. west on Strasburg Road to the Shenandoah County-Warren County boundary, the point of beginning
