FAMILY DAY & POTJIEKOS COMPETITION

The Tshwane SPCA invites members of the public to participate in this event. Participants may purchase a potjie at R150,00 per pot for 10 people. The potjie provides enough food for 10 meals that will sell at R30,00 per meal. All participants are required to provide their own ingredients for the pots, a picnic basket with the necessary eating utensils, a blanket and camping chairs. The potjiekos competition will start at 10h00.
Celebrities such as Camila du Plooy (Miss Pretoria Show, Miss Western Gauteng and Miss LA Sport), Armand du Plessis (Mr Roodepoort), Esti - Artist (Afrikaanse Taal- en Kultuurvereniging – LIER winner), Valeska Muller (IDOL finalist) Lucinda Schoeman (Miss Jacaranda City) and Riaan Grobler (Radio Rippel) will act as adjudicators of the potjiekos competition.
Builders Warehouse Gezina, and McCarthy Toyota Motors in Gezina are the main sponsors of the event. Participants in the potjiekos competition stand to win various prizes. Other spot prizes will be awarded throughout the day.
Singer Izak Davel (from the production company, The Sixth Sense) will provide entertainment for the day. Well-known auctioneer, Ben Blignaut, will auction wine and the proceeds will be donated to the Tshwane SPCA. There will also be entertainment provided for children. A cash bar will be available, at the club house.
There will be various goods and products on display and for sale. Any person or company interested in exhibiting may hire floor space at the cost of R200,00 per stall.
