Background Information:

Seymour High School is a Class 4A high school in south central Indiana. It is home to the 3rd largest high school gym in the nation, with a seating capacity of 8,110. Seymour High School is a member of the Hoosier Hills Conference, which is traditionally one of the strongest in the state of Indiana.

Lloyd E. Scott Gymnasium is a host site for sectional, regional, and semi-state levels of the storied Indiana High School Volleyball Tournament. It has 16 basketball goals (including the attached Auxiliary Gym), 7 locker rooms, 8 concession stands, offices, classrooms, meeting rooms, and a 1/8 mile indoor running corridor. There are 10 gymnasiums within the Seymour Community School Corporation.

Seymour High School has 5 public and 4 parochial elementary feeder schools, along with 1 public and 3 parochial middle schools. The current 5th & 6th grade classes are two of the largest in Seymour history, in terms of enrollment. The head coach at Seymour High School will have full control of the direction of the feeder program and be provided the resources to succeed. The volleyball team is additionally supported by a booster club whose monies are allocated at the discretion of the club with input from the volleyball coach.

Since 1992, Seymour High School has won 11 sectional and 6 regional championships. Five players are currently playing or committed to play college volleyball. The JV team had a 16-4 record to go along with winning freshmen and middle school teams.
