Ithaca Falls/Fall Creek Gorge

Impressive gorge views from the Cornell campus leading to a 150-foot waterfall near downtown.

Taughannock Falls State Park

Pronunciation: Tuh-GAN-ick. At 213 feet, it is the tallest waterfall in the northeast. The car-friendly overlook is convenient but the best views are along the rim trail and gorge trail, both easy hikes.

Across the street, on Lake Cayuga is the park, and beach area for swimming.

Buttermilk Falls State Park

A lush, sinuous gorge trail from the upper park down to the swim area at the base of the 90-foot falls.

Stewart Park (no admission fee)

On Cayuga Lake, just off of RT 13

Six Mile Creek

Wildflower preserve off of Giles Street and RT 79

Gallery Night

Downtown every 1st Friday of the month.
