These are all quotes from parent/carers about the Information, Advice and Support Service

· Her knowledge was extensive and I really couldn't have done it without her. Throughout the whole process she was there for me and I can't stress how much it means to me and how important the work that this team do. So a really big thank you.

· The IASS Officer was a huge help at meetings with the school as she boasts a wealth of knowledge in all areas of the system and has a really lovely professional manner when dealing with other professionals and also myself and my 12 year old. He was really pleased to meet her and to have her come to view the Essex school which we ended up choosing for him. I honestly don't think the outcome would have turned out as happy as it has for us without IASS help.

· I have to say this is the first time I feel as a parent I had some real help to understand this process and the information I really needed to get my son the support he should be getting from his school, the time and effort that this lady put in for us was truly INVALUABLE. Both me and my son are extremely grateful for this help in my eyes 100% helped us get a brilliant outcome. I would recommend this service to any parents who feel their children's needs are not being met, or even for peace of mind on information they are unsure of.

· This service helped us all the way through the process the services she provided were exemplary. During all the meeting that took place she guided us through the process and was often the most professional and well informed person in the room. We can’t speak highly enough of her, 6 Star Service.

· IASS gave us a lot of support and was there when I needed help or just to lend an ear, when it all became too much. She was such a great help and I could not have gone through this without her.

· I cannot rate highly enough the friendly caring support I have received from these lovely ladies. They were able to help me with advice, coming along to any meetings, going through paperwork and help with the understanding of terms and procedures etc, viewed possible schools with my grandson and myself. I would have been at a loss without their help and would urge anyone who needs a helping hand to take advantage of their knowledge and support.

· I can't thank them enough and I can honestly say that I am confident that there is NO BETTER HELP than theirs for someone in my position.

· They have helped me to not cry every time I speak about my son’s struggles (especially in school meetings), they continue to focus me on what is factual without ignoring the emotional side. That is hard as a parent and they acknowledge that. I will be eternally grateful for the professional care that they have given me.

· This really helped me in class and gave me better opportunities to access support in classes and lead to me being allowed to take fewer GCSE's. I had extra time and a quiet place to take them and I achieved a 1A, 4C's and 1D and now I'm in college studying engineering. My family and me will always be very grateful for the help this service gave to us.
