Join us for the Society’s 72nd Annual Golf Tournament

The Saint Andrew’s Society Golf Committee invites you to join us for the 72nd Annual Golf Outing, which returns to The Bedford Golf & Tennis Club in Bedford, New York.
Created in 1891 by a small group of tennis enthusiasts and first known as the Bedford Lawn Tennis Club, the club acquired enough land for a golf course in 1896 and the Bedford Lawn Tennis Club became the Bedford Golf and Tennis Club.
FEES: Lunch, golf and cart, caddies, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and haggis, including gratuities will be $265.00. Golfers can pay as a team or call the office to pay individually. For those unable to play but wishing to join us after the round for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and haggis, the fee will be $65.00. Please submit payment to the Society’s office prior to the event.
THE FORMAT: In keeping with recent tradition, this year’s tournament will feature a Team Stableford format in which each member of a four-person team will play his or her own ball from tee to green, and Stableford points from the two lowest handicapped scores from each hole will be combined and recorded as the team’s score. Pro Shop prizes will be awarded for the top team scores. This format will also allow for individual competition for the Society’s celebrated Cups and Trophies, awarded for individual Low Gross, 2nd Low Gross, and Low Net.
FOURSOMES: You are heartily encouraged to form mixed teams: for example, new members with veteran members, women with men, under 30’s with over 50’s. And non-members are welcome.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: Players are invited to use the practice facilities after 11:00 AM. A buffet lunch will be available starting at 11:30 AM. Play will begin at 1:00 PM sharp with a shotgun start.
NON-GOLFERS: We invite non-golfing Society members and guests to join us at the Club at 5:30pm for collation (jacket requested) following the competition. Come enjoy hors d’oeuvres, Haggis, whiskey, the awards ceremony and an open bar while being treated to the tunes of the Society’s Piper.
REGISTRATION: Please use the registration form below to submit your four-person teams with a USGA handicap index for each player, and return the form per the attached instructions. Where indicated on the registration form, please include the names of any non-golfers who will be joining us for post-golf festivities.
