SECTION 1
MAP OF ANCIENT GREECE
YOU WILL NEED TO DRAW A MAP OF GREECE
You may use crayons, paints, textas, coloured pencils, etc
You are allowed to look at maps on the internet or in books. But you are not allowed to just print them off and colour them in.
YOU NEED TO DRAW IT!

You are to create a timeline (DIAGRAM) of Ancient Greece and some of the major events in Greek History
You need to show the scale
You need to highlight the major events in Ancient Greece
You are to add/incorporates at least 3 images relevant to three different events

You are to choose 3 options from the list and complete the task.
Option 1
Draw a table of the Ancient Greek Gods/Goddesses. Include the name, title, appearance and a brief description of what people believed they did. Include pictures/images if you can.
Option 2
Choose 1 famous personality from Ancient Greece and write up a brief report about them, their life and any contributions to the culture of Ancient Greece.

Draw a model of a House in Ancient Greece, clearly label the design.
Option 4
Olympic Games – Where were they first held?, What events were held? Why were they held? Write up a brief report on the Olympics – include pictures from the site.
You can Describe the events, games, timeline of Olympic games, reason for having the games, draw a map, etc. Its up to you what and how you will present.
Option 5
Ancient temples
Make a 3D model of a temple from Ancient Greece. You can create it out of any material you want. Just don’t make it too big to bring into school.
Option 6
Design a pot decorated in the style of a chosen period in Ancient Greece. Sketch your design carefully and briefly describe why you chose it.

Pretend you are a young man living in Athens during the Golden Age. Write up a series of 4 Diary entries about a typical day of living in Athens. Include schooling, buildings that are being built, ideas you have learnt, etc.
Option 8
EXPOSITION
If you had a choice to go back in time. Where would you choose to live? Would you live in Athens or Sparta?
Discuss your choice and give reasons why you would prefer to live there.
Option 9
Imagine you are a woman living in Ancient Greece, Sparta or Athens. Write up a letter to a friend, describing your daily chores and responsibilities. Remember to empathise!
