The Epic of Gilgamesh - Hero’s Journey Project

We will study Gilgamesh’s journey through The Epic of Gilgamesh using the hero’s journey archetype. Below are the seven stages of the hero’s journey. After each stage, record the event(s) from the epic that fit that stage.

You will create a model of Gilgamesh’s hero’s journey throughout the epic. You can see a simple example that doesn’t include illustrations below. Your model will:

1.  Use construction paper for the background and have The Epic of Gilgamesh in the center.

2.  Include seven illustrations (one for each stage) with the stage labeled.

3.  Have the stage illustrations stapled in the correct order, 1-7.
