Google Chrome Dictionary - Tech Tip

One of the convenient features in Google Chrome is the Dictionary Lookup. Google Chrome is a free web browser (similar to Internet Explorer or Firefox) that you can install on your computer. The dictionary is an extension that you can add. To find the extension, go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ipdjaafajlfiopcppipdinmcjbcpofhdor select the Dictionary Lookup extension from the chrome web store.

Once you’ve installed the extension, you can use Dictionary Lookup in one of 2 ways:

1. Button bar method

3. Keyboard Shortcut method

1. Button bar method:

Below, you will see the Dictionary Lookup button at the far right of the button bar. Select any text on the screen and click on the Dictionary Lookup button and the definition will display as a popup.

3. Keyboard short-cut method:

Double-click on the word while holding the ALT key.
