SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
The following is a brief summary of the new and revised paragraphs in the Standard for Standard For Safety For Stationary Engine Generator Assemblies, UL 2200, which have a future Effective Date of March 14, 2013 and the action that may be required to determine compliance.
Paragraphs / General Subject and Comment /34A.1 / Engine generators that employ inverters or converters in their power output shall comply with UL 1741.
34A.2 / Engine generators and associated control systems intended for utility interactive operations shall comply with UL 1741.
Each manufacturer’s Follow-Up Procedures will need to be reviewed to determine whether the output circuits employ inverters or converter circuits or control systems intended for utility interactive operation.
