Parents are invited to watch the parade. If there is bad weather, we will parade through the cafeteria and gym.

Students are NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR THEIR COSTUMES OR MAKE-UP TO SCHOOL. Time will be provided for changing into costumes before the parade.

We are requesting that you use your best judgment about your child's choice of costume. However, as always, NO GUNS OR OTHER WEAPONS may be carried. We're also asking students to be sensitive to other groups of people by NOT dressing as villains in our lives today. We even suggest your child save the 'blood and gore' parts of some costumes for trick or treating in your neighborhood that night. Lastly, due to the recent clown incidents occurring across the nation, we request that students and parents do not wear clown costumes. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated in this matter.

After the parade, the parties will be about 30 minutes long. Students will be able to participate in games and activities during the classroom Halloween parties. There will be food and water at the parties.

New family event! Trunk-or-Treat on October 28, 2016

For students and families who like to participate in an additional Halloween event, you are invited to attend Trunk-or-Treat at 7:00 PM-8:00 PM on October 28th at the McDonald Elementary School parking lot. Feel free to dress-up and collect some treats. Families can decorate their cars and/or distribute treats to those who attend.

We are asking that the grown-ups that attend Trunk-or-Treat do not wear clown costumes. Many young children will be attending this event, and we want everyone to feel safe. Thank you for your cooperation.
