Wellington Boots
We are looking for wellie donations! If anyone has any wellies that no longer fit please could they be donated to school.
Fundraising
We are pleased to be supporting local and National causes this term.
Friday 17th we would like to support the Bishop's Lent appeal by holding a cake stall at break time and the end of the school day. Donations of cakes would be very welcome. Cakes will be on sale for 50p.
Red Nose Day is on Friday 24th March. We will be holding a non-uniform day, suggested donation is £1. We will be selling red noses in the office for £1 each. We do only have enough red noses for one per child so children will be limited to one each until everyone has had the chance to buy one. Red noses will go on sale from Monday 20th March.
Sharing learning
In place of our usual Friday assembly we will be holding a family learning workshop on 24th March starting at 2.40pm. All families are welcome.
Clubs
We are always keen to expand our offer of clubs and would very much welcome anyone who may be able to offer something slightly different for our pupils. The children are keen to explore other areas of the curriculum such as arts and craft or maybe gardening. If you can help please do get in touch. All adults will be required to complete appropriate DBS checks.
Staffing update
Mr Stanners will be leaving us at the end of this term to work slightly nearer to his home. We thank Mr Stanners for all that he has shared with our two academies, we will certainly miss his musical skills.
Breakfast Club
Following parental enquiries, we are looking at the possibility of organising a breakfast club. The club would run from 8am with food provided by the kitchen and an adult supervising pupils. The charge would be £3. Whilst we explore the feasibility of this we plan to run a trial for the first half term. We will be sending out an expression of interest letter next week so please look out for this.
Parking
Polite reminder that our carpark is for staff or visitors only. The car park should not be used for pickups/drop-offs unless use of the disabled space has been agreed. Please remember to park with consideration for our neighbours.
Active Kids 2017
We are collecting Active Kids vouchers from Sainsbury’s again this year. These vouchers can be exchanged for all different types of sporting equipment for the school. The box is outside the office near the signing in book.
