Clark Elementary School (Shelly Banks) $500

Requesting funds for kindergarten and second grade classrooms of about 85 students for the purchase of 8 Nooks to be used to differentiate

instruction and keep students fully engaged in math and reading centers.

Clark Elementary School (Jennifer Koch) $497

Requesting funding to purchase materials for "Hot Dots" interactive reading program to enhance reading in kindergarten teacher's classroom

of 25+ students annually.

Hunt Elementary School (Courtney Jungers) $500

Funding requested for Moving and Grooving with Math resources for 19 current students in second grade classroom and also future students.

These resources include hands-on activities like math stories, puzzles, games, manipulatives and instant learning centers to improve understanding

of math concepts.

Hunt Elementary School (Maggie Oas) $469

Portable CD listening equipment to make listening stations, batteries, audio book collection.


Leeds Elementary School (Erin Michael) $1,000

10 Leap Frog Reader pens and books to encourage reading and letter practice for kindergarteners.

Nodland Elementary School (Kris McNaughton) $456

Second grade teacher seeking funds for "Ready, Set, Listen to Reading" program to provide students with audio books and CDs to enrich

students' fluency, comprehension, vocabulary and love of reading

Whittier Elementary School (Cindy Tudehope) $380

Funding requested for purchase of Wii, controllers/nunchuks and accessories to get students moving with technology in physical education

classes. It will be used by TK - 5th grade current and future students to improve physical fitness, academic success and improve daily attendance.

SOUTH SIOUX CITY SCHOOLS – PAROCHIAL

St. Michael’s School (Donna Bishop, Principal) $1,000

Requesting funds for Fine Arts Program Enhancement Project. Project will benefit 170 preschool-eighth grade students for the purchase of

risers to be used for choir, music, and band student shows.
