We welcome Pastor Bob Pollema from Sioux Center to our pulpit as he leads us in our morning worship service. May the Lord bless the proclamation of His Holy Word.

This afternoon at 4:00 p.m. the Kempers Quartet from Sioux Center, IA will be presenting a concert. Invite your friends to join you and come to hear the message they will be giving.

I want to express my thanks to Cliff Wynia and the elders for their quick response last Sunday and for providing leadership to our worship service in my unplanned absence. This Sunday and next I am away on planned absence. I am traveling with and assisting my wife Karen, as she leads a tour bus to Savannah, GA, and the surrounding area. Please contact your district elder if you desire a visit during my absence. Lord willing I will lead our worship and administer the Lord's Supper at our Maundy Thursday service, at 7:00 p.m., April 2nd. Pastor Roger

CHURCH FAMILY

Judy Eekhoff was shifted to a Hospice level of care on Wednesday afternoon. Pray that she and Henry and their family may know and experience peace that passes understanding in this time.

Josie Vogel was released from Sanford, SF, Tuesday and returned to her residence at Sibley Nursing and Rehab. She is recovering from her pneumonia. Pray for full recovery.

Annie Postma's brother Fred Steensma from Lynden, WA died on Tuesday.

Please pray for Annie and her brother's family that God's promises will be their comfort.

Kathy Zylstra will be receiving a treatment on Monday. Please pray that all goes well for her and that she may be upheld in the weeks ahead.

Young mothers, please join Mothers Together as we learn about the birds in the area from a presently by Dave Kuehl. Bird watching is a hobby that you can share with your children in many different ways. Mothers Together will meet at First Reformed Church at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25. We are a non-denominational group. Child care is provided. Join us for a morning of learning and relaxing with other mothers.

First Reformed Church of Sibley is having a Soup and Pie Supper on Wednesday, March 25 from 5-7 pm. Serving Chili, Vegetable, Chicken and Pea Soups; BBQ Sandwiches and assorted pies and desserts. Carry-outs available. (754-2783) All proceeds from the supper will go to the Youth of our Church for Mission trips this summer. Thanks.

The community is invited to attend a free concert by guest musician David Burgess on Friday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium at Dordt College. Recognized as one of today’s outstanding guitarists by musicians and critics worldwide, Burgess will present his popular program, “Guitar Music of Brazil.”

The women of the community are cordially invited to attend a Women's Lenten Breakfast, hosted by the Mission & Nurture Committee of the Sibley First Presbyterian Church, on Saturday, March 28, at 9:00 a.m., in the church fellowship hall. Dawn Simm is the guest speaker. No charge or freewill offering. Passion Play set and costume “stuff” will be moved from our church basement where it is in storage to the High School on Saturday morning, March 28, beginning at 8 a.m. If you are able to assist with this please show up a little before 8. Thanks.

ADVANCE ANNOUNCEMENTS

It’s the 31st anniversary production of the Osceola County Community Ministerial Association Good Friday Passion Play. Plan no to attend on Friday, April 3, 2015. There will be three performances: 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Sibley-Ocheyedan School Auditorium. FREE tickets for the Passion Play may be reserved by calling 754-3715. Church groups or organizations may request enough tickets for their entire group; however it is very important that you do not reserve more than you actually need. Reserved tickets can be picked up at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3 at the Sibley-Ocheyedan High School. Any tickets not picked up one-half hour before the performance will be made available to the general public. Any seats empty 10 minutes prior to the performance will be made available to people waiting for tickets. Listen to KIWA for ticket availability.

HOP ON OVER to the Resurrection Egg Hunt at First Reformed Church of Sibley on Saturday April 4th at directly following the City Egg Hunt! Families with children ages 2-11 are invited to come learn about the Easter story while hunting Easter eggs and enjoying fun prizes!

Justice for All will be hosting a “Volunteer Night” for people to come check out what it would mean to volunteer at JFA. There will be pizza, time to meet the staff, and a tour. Whether you are interested in volunteering daily, weekly, monthly, or just once, all your questions will be answered. Come join us! All ages welcome. Tuesday, April 7 from 6:30-8pm. The Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra will present its annual Spring Concert on Tuesday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the BJ Haan Auditorium on the campus of Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. NISO will pay tribute to one of the most popular composers of all time – Tchaikovsky! In a concert that features all music by Tchaikovsky, Anthony Arnone, professor of cello at the University of Iowa, will join the orchestra for a virtuosic performance of Variations on a Rococo Theme. One of the highlights of the program will be the passionate Symphony No. 5, full of despair, romance, and triumph, featuring the powerful brass section of NISO. The program will also include the well-known “Waltz” from Sleeping Beauty.

As in the past, this Spring Concert will also feature the announcement of the 2015-2016 Season of the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra! Season tickets for next year will be offered that evening for a special discounted price.
