Council news:

At the congregational meeting held on June 17, the motion was made, supported and adopted that we would go ahead with the replacement of the shingles on the church roof. It was also approved to install the Decra steel shingle with Reitsma Construction as the contractor. The congregation is encouraged to let the consistory know, either by a note in the offering, a verbal communication or a letter, what they feel they could contribute towards the cost of the roof replacement. If we receive 66% of the projected cost of the shingle replacement, we will not look at selling the parsonage at this time.

If the 66% is not met, we will move forward with the sale of the parsonage

You are invited to enjoy food & fellowship at the ATLAS Omelet Brunch fund-raiser on Today. June 29, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Senior Citizens Center, Sibley. A freewill offering will be received to support the ministry of ATLAS of Osceola County.

Together we can touch lives for Christ.

THE LITTLE THINGS

Thank You, Lord, for “Little Things”

Like rays of hope – a smile can bring

A clasping of a helping hand

The soothing words – I understand.

The warmth of sunshine after rain

A sign of comfort – after pain!

A friend who “stays” through trials and tears

The peace they give to calm our fears

For all His mercy – and His love

When prayers are answered from above

Oh, thank You, Lord for “Little Things”

That help us soar on eagles wings!

Kathryn Wiesenhoefer
