P.A.W.S.

Parents,

This year we will continue using our P.A.W.S. program where we catch students in the act of BEING GOOD! Here’s how it will work this year!

  • WHAT IS P.A.W.S.?

P.A.W.S. stands for: Positive Attitude, Act Responsibly, Wise Choices, Show Respect and Stay Focused.

  • HOW DOES IT WORK?

Every student has a PAWS punch card. Teachers all over the building are searching for students who are showing their P.A.W.S. When teachers find students in the hallways, cafeteria, or restroom area, who are displaying P.A.W.S. behavior, they will give the child a punch.

  • WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY CHILD GETS 10 PAWS PUNCHES?

When a student fills up his/her punch card, they get rewarded by:

1. The student gets a prize from the office.

2. The student moves up a level and gets a new card.

  • WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE FIRST 10 PUNCHES?

When a child completes their first P.A.W.S card (level 1), he/she gets a brand new card (level 2) and then continues showing his/her P.A.W.S. behavior. The students can continue earning prizes.

  • HOW CAN I HELP MY CHILD AT HOME WITH THE P.A.W.S. PROGRAM?

The students get so excited to tell YOU! Your enthusiasm and excitement is a big part of the success of our program!

If you have any questions about the P.A.W.S. program, please ask your child’s teacher.
