SPU Community Advisory Committees Application for Membership

Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) has three advisory committees.
Please indicate in which Committee(s) you are interested in applying to become a member.
__ Creeks, Drainage and Wastewater Advisory Committee (CDWAC)
(stormwater management, water quality, pollution prevention, creeks, wastewater systems, other topics)
__ Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) (waste management systems policy: recycling, food/yard waste, collection contracts, transfer stations, garbage systems, waste prevention)
__ Water System Advisory Committee (WSAC) (drinking water system, water conservation, supply/demand, Cedar and Tolt Watersheds management, other topics)
The Community Advisory Committees have the following purposes:
· To provide input/ analysis on departmental issues (e.g., policy choices, projects and plans).
· To ensure SPU programs, policies and services are serving all Seattle communities.
· Review and help shape SPU’s programs, communications, and services
Commitment: Two year term, with approval by the SPU Director. Committees meet once a month, in the Seattle Municipal Tower, 700 5th Avenue. Time devoted to the committee is 4-8 hours/month. Parking passes and refreshments are provided to members.
